Vilamoura, Portugal
Purpose-built marina resort with golf country
Vilamoura was planned from scratch in the 1960s around one of Europe’s largest marinas, and now holds six golf courses, a casino, a Roman site (Cerros) and a grid of low-rise apartment districts. Everything is walkable, and the marina esplanade runs yachts, dolphin boats and golf shuttles in equal measure.

Living in Vilamoura
This is the Algarve’s rental-investment core: strong summer occupancy, professional management companies everywhere, and apartment prices driven by yield maths. Owners who want quiet pick the golf-side districts; renters want marina proximity.
