Albufeira, Portugal
The holiday capital with 30-plus beaches
Albufeira grew from a whitewashed fishing village into the Algarve’s busiest resort: the old town still curves around its original bay, while the Strip and marina carry the package-tourism side. Its coastline packs more than thirty named beaches between sandstone cliffs, from the wide Fisherman’s Beach to coves reachable only at low tide.

Living in Albufeira
Outside August the town returns to a real population of locals and long-stay internationals; the short-let market is the strongest in Portugal, which cuts both ways for buyers — income potential against neighbourhood churn. Prices in the marina and old-town zones sit well above the municipal average.
