Carvoeiro, Portugal
Cliff village turned polished bay resort
Carvoeiro grew from a one-bay fishing village into a polished resort clinging to golden cliffs — the famous Algar Seco boardwalk and the hillside villas above it. The original cove stays small and photogenic, with restaurants lining the square right above the sand.
